TheHorse.com has an article on preparations for the 2010 World Equestrian Games being held in the host city of Lexington, Kentucky. This is the first time they have ever been held outside of Europe. From the article:
"The event, which is held every four years, will host the crowning of world champions in eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). The Games have never before been held outside of Europe; nor have all eight disciplines ever previously been held together at a single site--both firsts that will be achieved at the Kentucky Horse Park."
